Job Scope & Responsibilities:
1. Act as Head of Department for the Accounts & Finance Department and provide advisory support to HR/Admin where necessary.
2. Lead and supervise the accounting team in daily operations, manage cash flow, oversee month-end and quarterly closings, and review journals, postings, and reconciliations.
3. Implement accounting and financial policies and procedures as required by management.
4. Perform and review tax computations, tax planning, and liaise with tax agents and authorities.
5. Review financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with MPERS.
6. Monitor related party transactions and transfer pricing matters.
7. Prepare annual budgets, costing, and cash flow forecasts in line with management’s targets.
8. Assist the Project Department in feasibility studies for new projects.
9. Arrange bank financing, liaise with bankers, and review loan documentation.
10. Assist in land deals and joint venture negotiations, review agreements and contracts, and liaise with lawyers.
11. Review and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
12. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
13. Perform ad-hoc duties as instructed by the Board.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in property development, feasibility studies, and joint ventures is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
